Position/Title:
Associate Chief of Surgery and Chief of Podiatry at VA Maine Healthcare Systems in Togus, ME
Dr. Williams joined VA Maine in December 2014 initially as a staff podiatrist but has continued to grow her professional resume in the institution. She is involved with multiple projects including oversight of operating room operations including equipment and policies/procedures, recruitment and retention for physicians and providers within Surgical Services and Anesthesia departments, as well as intimate involvement with the hospital strategic planning, productivity/RVU measures, and medical staff bylaws. She is actively engaged with both local and VISN 1 partners at both a podiatric and surgical level. She is currently enrolled in a two-year physician leadership development program with the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Williams also serves as the Chairperson for the PAVE Committee at VA Maine and recently their facility was acknowledged as the Remote Temperature Monitoring Program of the Month in August 2024 as well as presented their program to the Congressional Stakeholders for the State of Maine.
She is a graduate of the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2010 and completed a PMSR with RRA residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Wilmington, DE in 2013. She is dual certified with both ABFAS and ABPM. She is actively enrolled as an examination writer for the Certification Examination Committee for ABPM since 2017.
